Job Description
The Senior Adviser WASH will provide strategic leadership in sanitation and hygiene programming, supporting governments to scale sustainable WASH systems. The role focuses on policy development, system strengthening, climate resilience, and resource mobilization to improve equitable access to sanitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical support to governments on scaling sanitation solutions
- Conduct system assessments and identify capacity gaps
- Strengthen WASH systems through policy and institutional support
- Mobilize resources and leverage sector financing
- Promote innovation and digital solutions in WASH delivery
- Advocate for inclusive and equitable sanitation access
- Support country offices with tailored technical guidance
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-country learning
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in engineering, public health, environmental sciences, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree with additional experience may be considered
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in WASH or related sectors
- Experience in international organizations, consulting, or development programs
- Strong understanding of sanitation systems and policy frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
