Job Description

Braeside Thika International School is seeking an Assistant Headteacher to oversee academic and pastoral development for students from Creche to Year 6. This leadership role is vital for maintaining the school’s holistic and value-guided environment. The successful candidate will work under the Head of School to drive educational excellence, ensure student wellbeing, and strengthen community ties within a vibrant international setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage academic progression and pastoral care across the primary years.
• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team on whole-school strategic development.
• Oversee teaching and learning standards to ensure high-quality educational delivery.
• Champion safeguarding and student wellbeing protocols within the school.
• Foster strong links between the school, parents, and the wider community.
• Support the Head of School in daily management and leadership tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting.
• Deep understanding of international academic and pastoral frameworks.
• Passion for holistic education and student development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse community.
• Ability to drive strategic priorities and manage school-wide change.
