Motor Vehicle Inspection and Valuation Officer

Role Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Officer conducts motor vehicle inspections, evaluates vehicle condition, and determines market value in accordance with company policies and industry standards. The role supports underwriting, claims, and valuation processes through objective and timely assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and technical vehicle inspections
• Assess vehicle condition and determine accurate market values
• Prepare detailed inspection and valuation reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Support underwriting and claims teams with inspection findings

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Certification in Motor Vehicle Inspection or Automotive Diagnostics
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in vehicle inspection or valuation
• Valid driving license (Class B or above)
• Membership in a relevant professional body is an added advantage
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Strong analytical and report writing skills
