M&E Project Manager, Global Supply Chains (Coffee)

Overview

The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Project Manager oversees the delivery of supply chain projects within the coffee sector. This high-level coordination role focuses on global planning, data analysis, and quality assurance across 15 countries. You will be responsible for streamlining M&E data collection, managing a multicultural team, and ensuring that findings regarding regenerative agriculture, carbon emissions, and farm economics are communicated effectively to stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of M&E coffee project delivery, ensuring alignment with global objectives and strict deadlines.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of at least seven members across Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
  • Coordinate field data collection campaigns, including enumerator training and data quality assurance.
  • Oversee thematic analysis in areas like carbon emissions, regenerative agriculture, and farm economics.
  • Contextualize M&E findings using secondary research, national statistics, and field observations.
  • Develop capacity-building plans to strengthen team skills in data analytics and reporting.
  • Support the design and implementation of the global M&E framework, including Theory of Change and KPIs.
  • Oversee budget planning to ensure financial accountability and efficient resource allocation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Food Systems, Agriculture, Environmental Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in M&E, with at least 2 years in private sector sustainability (coffee or similar commodities).
  • Proven experience managing multicultural, remote global teams.
  • Strong proficiency in project management tools (certification is desirable).
  • Working knowledge of statistical packages (Stata, SPSS, or R) and data visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Ability to travel internationally 4–5 times per year.
