Job Description

Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL) is seeking a safety-focused temporary Electrician to support its Supply Chain Engineering team. This role is critical for maintaining the reliability of electrical and electro-mechanical systems within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will troubleshoot production line equipment, perform planned maintenance on utility systems like boilers and generators, and support automation initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance overall plant productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production line equipment to minimize downtime in Packaging, Cellar, and Warehouses.
• Perform planned maintenance on boilers, compressors, chillers, and HV panels.
• Audit safety interlocks and execute corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Inspect and service motors, pumps, and lighting systems regularly.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in workshops following 5S principles.
• Accurately complete job cards and technical maintenance reports.
• Support mechanical repairs and contribute to site automation and instrumentation projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
• Prior experience in an FMCG production environment is an added advantage.
• Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electropneumatic, hydraulic systems, and instrumentation controls.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and adherence to electrical safety protocols.
