Job Description

The Audiovisual Producer is a key member of the Global Content Hub in Nairobi, responsible for creating compelling visual stories that support institutional priorities and humanitarian operations. The role involves advising on effective formats for social media and web platforms while providing technical guidance to field delegations. The producer translates complex humanitarian objectives into engaging narratives, ensuring all content aligns with the organization’s corporate identity and ethical storytelling principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end production process, including concept development, scripting, shooting, and editing
• Develop story angles and formats tailored for digital platforms such as Instagram, X, and YouTube
• Ensure all audiovisual products maintain ethical standards and respect for humanitarian principles
• Coordinate with Public Relations Officers to produce high-impact news content for global media outlets
• Manage production schedules, budgets, and logistics to ensure the efficient use of resources
• Oversee the application of corporate visual identity, tone, and technical quality across all exports
• Provide coaching, training, and technical support to field teams on audiovisual best practices
• Maintain internal archives and metadata for audiovisual assets to facilitate future reuse
• Participate in weekly creative meetings to propose innovative story ideas and provide editorial feedback

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Audiovisual Production, Journalism, or a related field
• 5–7 years of professional experience as a producer or journalist in news and social media environments
• Proven expertise in video shooting and professional editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex production workflows from concept to final delivery
• Strong understanding of platform-specific audience behaviors and digital trends
• Fluent command of English and professional proficiency in either French or Arabic
• High level of creative and editorial judgment with attention to technical detail
