Job Description

The Travel Consultant is responsible for providing expert travel advice and end-to-end management of client itineraries. This role focuses on booking flights, accommodations, and transportation while ensuring all arrangements align with client preferences and budgets. The consultant will handle visa applications, prepare detailed domestic and international itineraries, and resolve any travel-related complaints or refund requests. A key part of the role involves identifying new business opportunities and developing innovative tour packages, particularly in the international market and cultural/safari tourism.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on travel options, accommodations, and itineraries based on budget and preference.
• Book flights, hotels, and transportation accurately using travel management software.
• Plan and prepare detailed itineraries for international and domestic trips, including safaris and beach experiences.
• Assist clients with visa applications, travel documentation, and concierge services.
• Handle client inquiries, resolve complaints, and manage refunds professionally.
• Develop innovative tour packages and support social media marketing initiatives.
• Meet sales targets while ensuring travel packages remain profitable.
• Stay updated on global tourism trends to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Tourism or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of travel booking systems and visa application processes.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills with an understanding of profit margins.
• Experience handling tourists on cultural experiences, people safaris, and beach tours.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex itineraries simultaneously.
