Job Description
The Sales Force Manager is tasked with building, training, and scaling a distributed network of Lead Generators within the informal and gig ecosystems. This role involves sourcing partner groups such as boda riders and mobile money operators to drive consistent lead volume. The Manager ensures the quality and motivation of the network through scalable training modules and performance incentives, serving as a high-impact leader who understands how to navigate community-based agent networks to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and recruit networks of lead generators from gig-economy sectors (e.g., cab drivers, boda riders, SACCOs)
- Build strategic partnerships with associations, fleet owners, and high-traffic community retail groups
- Develop and deliver scalable training materials via WhatsApp, video, and in-person sessions
- Train Lead Generators on the product value proposition and high-quality lead submission processes
- Track performance metrics including active agent counts, lead volume, conversion rates, and cost per lead
- Design and manage incentive programs and competitions to drive consistent activity and “super agent” growth
- Conduct field visits to gather market insights and refine the sales playbook
- Coordinate with tech teams to streamline lead submission through WhatsApp bots and digital forms
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in sales force management, agent networks, or gig-worker operations
- Proven track record of scaling distributed sales teams or community-based agents
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a deep understanding of Kenya’s gig economy
- Data-driven mindset with experience using CRM systems, dashboards, or telesales tools
- Strong presentation and training skills for both small and large groups
- Ability to thrive and adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment
