Trade Marketing Manager
Overview
Capwell Industries is seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to bridge the gap between marketing strategy and sales execution. This role is focused on driving brand demand within both modern and general trade markets. You will be responsible for developing channel-specific strategies, increasing on-shelf visibility, and managing high-stakes customer relationships. The position requires a leader who can combine creative in-store execution with rigorous financial discipline and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the comprehensive trade marketing plan and manage the dedicated trade marketing budget.
- Brand Visibility: Enhance brand presence and positioning through excellence in in-store planning, execution, and tracking.
- Promotion Management: Conceptualize and roll out impactful trade promotions and in-store campaigns in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Partner Activation: Lead activation programs with partners to improve product accessibility and consumer pull.
- Retail Liaison: Act as the primary link between product development, sales teams, and retail buyers; visit points of sale regularly to ensure guidelines are met.
- Distribution Growth: Identify and secure new distribution opportunities and merchandising support across key accounts and trade channels.
- Commercial Optimization: Manage trade terms, JBP (Joint Business Plan) agreements, discounts, and rebates to boost brand profitability.
- Tool Development: Create point-of-purchase (POP) materials, contests, and events to promote “sell-out.”
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of specialized experience in trade marketing, preferably in FMCG.
- Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of the consumer industry and range management.
