English / Literature Teacher (KS3-5)

Overview

Woodcreek School is seeking a passionate English and Literature Teacher for Key Stages 3-5. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for linguistics and literary analysis, coupled with the pedagogical skills to guide students through the complexities of the British National Curriculum. As part of a forward-thinking school, you will integrate digital literacy into the study of English and play a vital role in the school’s pastoral and extra-curricular spheres.

Responsibilities

  • Literary Analysis: Guide students through the study of diverse texts and English language mechanics up to A-Level.
  • Mentorship: Build positive, professional relationships with students to foster a love for reading and writing.
  • Pastoral Care: Serve as a mentor and guide within the school’s pastoral framework.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Contribute to the development of a futuristic and inclusive English department.

Qualifications

  • Academic: Bachelor of Education in Arts or equivalent.
  • Professional: Must be TSC Certified.
  • Experience: 5+ years of teaching experience in the British National Curriculum.
  • Requirement: Current experience in a Cambridge Curriculum International School is mandatory.
