Job Description
This role manages the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions within a dynamic cleaning and facilities management environment. The Accountant and Admin Assistant is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of client accounts, managing payroll, and ensuring full statutory compliance. By combining rigorous financial reporting with administrative support, the successful candidate ensures the smooth operation of both the Finance and Operations departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process payroll accurately while ensuring timely remittance of SHA, NSSF, PAYE, and HELB
- Generate and send client invoices, following up on receivables to maintain healthy cash flow
- Process supplier payments and conduct regular reconciliations of supplier statements
- File VAT, Withholding Tax, and other statutory returns in compliance with tax regulations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports and bank reconciliations
- Maintain organized and confidential filing systems for all financial and administrative documentation
- Support the budgeting process and track departmental expenses
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance and Operations teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Must be a fully qualified CPA-K
- 3–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in professional services or facilities management
- Advanced proficiency in Tally Software and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of payroll processing, statutory filings, and accounts reconciliation
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, detail-oriented environment
