Job Description
The Van Sales Executive is a high-energy, aggressive sales professional responsible for the direct distribution of agro-input products to dealers. Operating on a van sales model, the executive manages a dedicated route, focusing on rapid stock turnover, cash sales, and new account acquisition. This role requires an individual with an “SME mindset”—hands-on and self-driven—who can collaborate with technical agronomists to convert product demonstrations into high-volume orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive direct sales of agro-input products to agro-dealers using a mobile van distribution model
- Identify and open new dealer accounts weekly to expand the company’s market footprint
- Manage a daily call plan, route optimization, and territory growth strategies
- Collect payments and manage credit limits to ensure healthy cash flow and repeat business
- Collaborate with Technical Sales Agronomists to close leads generated through field demonstrations
- Monitor stock levels in the van and ensure accurate inventory reporting
- Maintain the assigned sales vehicle in good condition and adhere to safe driving practices
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in B2B, FMCG, or agro-input sales; direct van sales experience is highly preferred
- Valid driving license with proficiency in operating manual pickup trucks
- Strong existing network of agro-dealers or a demonstrated ability to build one quickly
- Ability to work under high pressure and meet aggressive weekly sales targets
- Self-motivated and commercially sharp with a focus on accountability and results
- High level of physical energy and willingness to work hands-on in a dynamic field environment
