Technician – Fumigation and Pest Control

Job Description

The Fumigation and Pest Control Technician is a critical field-based role focused on delivering effective pest elimination services across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The technician is responsible for conducting detailed inspections, determining appropriate chemical treatments, and executing applications while strictly adhering to public health and environmental safety standards. This role requires a professional who combines technical expertise in chemical handling with strong customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-service inspections to identify pest types, infestation levels, and site-specific safety risks
• Execute fumigation, spraying, and baiting treatments in strict accordance with approved dosages and safety ratios
• Advise clients on treatment processes, post-treatment precautions, and long-term preventative measures
• Maintain and inspect specialized equipment such as fogging machines and sprayers to ensure operational readiness
• Document all service activities, including chemical usage, through accurate job sheets and daily logs
• Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and ensure the safe transport and storage of chemicals
• Capture photographic evidence of infestations and treatments to support quality assurance and reporting
• Participate in emergency call-outs and support the team during large-scale fumigation projects

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health, Public Health, or a related technical field
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in professional fumigation or pest control services
• Comprehensive understanding of chemical safety procedures and hazardous material handling
• Strong problem-solving skills and the physical fitness required for field operations
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• High level of integrity and accountability in documenting service delivery
