Job Description

The Production Manager oversees the manufacturing operations of steel pipes and tubes, focusing on achieving operational excellence and high yield. This role involves developing production schedules, enforcing SOPs, and managing manpower to meet delivery commitments. The manager is responsible for controlling operational costs, analyzing scrap rates, and driving continuous improvement through Kaizen and 6K methodologies. This senior position requires a leader who can mentor staff while ensuring strict compliance with SAP, ISO, and EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans to meet delivery commitments and targets.
• Establish and enforce SOPs to ensure product conformity to technical specifications.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime through preventive measures.
• Analyze operational costs and scrap rates to improve overall profitability.
• Track and evaluate KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and staff mentorship.
• Oversee SAP compliance, ISO system maintenance, and EHS audits.
• Drive Kaizen, 6K, and safe working practices across the production floor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 10–15 years of general work experience, with 10 years specifically in steel pipes and tube manufacturing.
• Proficiency in SAP systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and technical record-keeping skills.
