Job Description

The IT Manager (referred to as the Senior Manager, IT) is the executive responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the institution’s technological landscape. This role ensures that the IT infrastructure, systems, and security protocols are robust enough to support the organization’s business goals. The manager leads the digital transformation agenda, manages IT governance, and ensures that all technological investments provide maximum value while mitigating risks through advanced cybersecurity and disaster recovery planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the institution’s long-term objectives
• Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of all IT infrastructure and business systems
• Lead the IT department in delivering high-quality technical support and service levels across the organization
• Implement and monitor institutional IT governance, security policies, and data protection standards
• Manage the IT budget, including the evaluation and procurement of new technologies and vendor contracts
• Lead digital transformation projects and the integration of new software solutions
• Ensure the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and business continuity protocols
• Provide strategic advice to the executive team on emerging technologies and digital risks

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
• Professional certifications such as CISM, CISA, ITIL, or PMP
• Minimum of 8-10 years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in a senior management role
• Proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructure and large-scale digital projects
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and IT governance
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and vendor management skills
• Experience in the financial services or professional services sector is an added advantage
