Head of Fraud Analytics and Reporting
Overview
This senior strategic role focuses on mitigating fraud risks through data-driven insights and advanced predictive modeling. The Head of Fraud Analytics and Reporting is responsible for building machine-learning solutions and real-time monitoring systems to identify suspicious patterns across various banking channels. You will provide actionable intelligence to senior leadership and regulators, ensuring that the organization stays ahead of emerging fraud typologies while maintaining a robust governance framework.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced analytics frameworks to detect and prevent fraud across all products and systems.
- Design and deploy predictive models and machine-learning solutions for real-time monitoring.
- Define and track key fraud metrics (KPIs/KRIs) to optimize detection capabilities.
- Own fraud reporting governance, including management information (MI) and regulatory dashboards.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of significant fraud events to influence control strategies.
- Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists and reporting specialists.
- Partner with IT, Risk, and Compliance teams to embed analytics into fraud prevention controls.
- Ensure all reporting meets legal, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Over 8 years of experience in fraud analytics, risk management, or financial crime.
- At least 4 years in a leadership role managing analytics teams or driving strategy execution.
- Proven track record of using complex data to derive insights and influence fraud strategy.
- Deep technical understanding of fraud typologies and analytics deployment.
