Group Head of Physical Security

Overview

The Group Head of Physical Security provides strategic direction and operational oversight for the organization’s physical security functions. This role is responsible for protecting people, high-value assets, and facilities by developing and maintaining effective security programs and systems. You will lead the enterprise-wide security roadmap, ensuring that surveillance, access control, and incident response protocols are robust and aligned with global standards like ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive physical security strategy and policy framework.
  • Lead continuous risk assessments, threat analyses, and vulnerability evaluations across all facilities.
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations, including CCTV surveillance, alarms, and perimeter protection.
  • Direct incident response, emergency preparedness, and complex investigations.
  • Manage relationships with external security contractors and law enforcement agencies.
  • Oversee the deployment and lifecycle management of physical security technology systems.
  • Lead and mentor the security team, fostering a high-performance, professional culture.
  • Prepare executive reports on security posture, trending risks, and required investments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management or a related field.
  • Mandatory: Professional certification in CSMP, CPP, or PSP.
  • 8–10 years of experience in physical security risk management, with 5 years in project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-level liaison with law enforcement and emergency responders.
  • Proficiency in English (French language skills are an added advantage).
