Job Description

The Finance Manager provides strategic and operational financial leadership for the Kenya business unit. This role acts as a primary financial partner to the General Manager, providing data-driven insights to guide strategic imperatives, commercial costing, and long-term profitability. The manager oversees the entire financial landscape, including statutory compliance, treasury functions, and risk management, ensuring that the country’s financial operations align with global multinational standards and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership and support to the General Manager on strategic and tactical imperatives
• Support the costing of commercial opportunities to ensure long-term business profitability
• Manage the budget and forecast process, including scenario planning for the strategic plan
• Oversee the preparation of monthly reporting packs for local, regional, and group management
• Ensure full statutory compliance, including the accurate submission of tax returns and financial statements
• Manage the treasury function, including cash flow forecasting and compliance with Central Bank regulations
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary finance team, providing regular performance feedback and growth opportunities
• Coordinate the risk management process to maximize financial performance while mitigating exposure
• Oversee internal controls for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance
• Professional qualification from a recognized body (CPA or ACCA)
• 7 to 10 years of experience in a senior Finance management position
• Practical experience in Supply Chain or Contract Logistics is a distinct advantage
• Proven experience managing finance teams within a multinational environment
• Deep knowledge of the statutory, tax, and operating environment in Kenya
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, treasury management, and risk frameworks
