Role Overview

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Debt Collection Agent is responsible for recovery of outstanding debts, maintaining accurate debtor records, and supporting credit control functions to reduce financial exposure while maintaining professional client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely debt recovery
• Maintain accurate and updated debtor records
• Negotiate repayment arrangements with clients
• Support credit control processes and risk mitigation efforts
• Prepare collection reports and account reconciliations

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• CPA (Part II) or equivalent accounting qualification is an added advantage
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in debt collection or credit control
• Experience handling customer negotiations
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets
• High level of integrity and professionalism
