Coalition Programme Manager
Overview
The Meliore Foundation is looking for a Coalition Programme Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic direction of a global environmental coalition. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with experience in strategic communications and campaign management. You will be responsible for harmonizing diverse stakeholder interests, driving global climate campaigns, and managing grantmaking strategies to undermine the influence of climate-intensive industries.
Responsibilities
- Coalition Management: Drive participation in workstreams, develop agendas, and recruit diverse speakers for all-hands meetings.
- Strategy Development: Coordinate with the steering committee to develop and update shared strategies for the coalition.
- Campaign Execution: Identify industry inflection points and policy opportunities to seize campaign momentum.
- Grantmaking: Participate in the design and adaptation of grantmaking strategies and identify prospective recipients.
- Member Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for members, solving complex grant issues and negotiating internal/external requirements.
- Fundraising: Build a pipeline of potential funders and develop quarterly updates on coalition achievements.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the program’s annual budget and ensure the efficient allocation of funds.
Qualifications
- Experience: Demonstrated experience managing programs in the nonprofit, philanthropic, or coalition sectors.
- Expertise: Deep understanding of the environmental landscape and experience in designing influence campaigns.
- Skills: Strong project management, ability to track annual budgets, and experience in strategic communications.
- Interpersonal: Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships with competing priorities.
