Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Role Overview
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the bank. The role oversees executive management, institutional performance, regulatory compliance, credit risk, financial stewardship, and stakeholder engagement, while reporting to the Board and working closely with HOPE International as the major shareholder.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead institutional strategy, operations, and executive management
- Oversee credit risk, finance, compliance, and client protection frameworks
- Represent the institution to regulators, government agencies, and sector networks
- Collaborate with HOPE International’s Central Service Unit for technical and operational support
- Supervise departmental heads and ensure organizational accountability
- Maintain alignment with Board directives and shareholder expectations
Qualifications
- Personal confession of Christian faith aligned with the institution’s mission
- Master’s degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, or related field
- CPA(K), ACCA, CFA, CISA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services, preferably within Africa or similar markets
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, T24, and other relevant banking systems
- Demonstrated commitment to financial inclusion and poverty alleviation initiatives
