Telesales Officer

Job Overview

The Telesales Officer is responsible for converting leads into new business through proactive outbound calling, disciplined pipeline management, and accurate CRM usage, while ensuring compliance with internal policies, governance standards, and customer data protection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective customers using CRM-generated leads.
  • Follow up on all leads and customer inquiries to maintain an active and healthy sales pipeline.
  • Achieve assigned new business production and conversion targets.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records including call outcomes and follow-up actions.
  • Adhere strictly to approved telesales scripts, processes, and service standards.
  • Track and report sales metrics such as call volumes, conversion rates, and outcomes.
  • Share customer feedback, market insights, and competitor intelligence with management.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and group-wide initiatives as required.
  • Comply with all regulatory, governance, and data protection requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in telesales, inside sales, or customer acquisition roles.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems for lead management and reporting.
  • Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or service-based industries is an advantage.
