Senior Teacher – Kindergarten
The Senior Teacher – Kindergarten provides academic leadership and operational oversight for the Early Childhood Department. This role is designed for an experienced educator who can balance high-quality classroom instruction with the mentorship of junior teaching staff. The successful candidate will foster a nurturing, tech-integrated, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that the foundational educational needs of young learners are met in alignment with the institutional curriculum and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging lessons that align with the Early Childhood curriculum
- Supervise and lead the kindergarten teaching staff to ensure consistent instructional quality
- Integrate educational technology and digital tools into daily classroom activities
- Monitor, assess, and record children’s developmental progress through accurate reports
- Mentor and guide junior teachers to promote professional growth and effective teamwork
- Maintain proactive and professional communication with parents regarding their child’s development
- Lead school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities within the department
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE)
- Valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in kindergarten teaching with demonstrable leadership skills
- Proven familiarity with educational technology and digital learning frameworks
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills
