Role Overview

The Mason / Plasterer will be responsible for hands-on finishing work on active construction sites. Key responsibilities include executing high-quality plastering and skimming on ceilings and walls, performing various masonry tasks (blockwork, rendering), and ensuring all final finishes meet project standards. The role is physically demanding and requires a basic understanding of construction safety and a reliable, collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Finishing Work: Perform high-quality plastering, skimming, and final finishing on walls and ceilings according to specified project standards.
• Masonry Tasks: Execute general masonry tasks, including blockwork, rendering, and preparatory surface preparation for subsequent finishes.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all finishing work meets the high-quality standards required by the project specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with construction teams and site supervisors to ensure project alignment and efficiency.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all construction safety practices and site regulations.
• Repairs: Conduct minor repairs, touch-ups, and finishing corrections as needed during the project cycle.
• Physical Demands: Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction tasks.

Eligibility Criteria

• Residency: Must currently reside in Kisumu County.
• Experience: Experience in plastering, masonry, finishing work, or general civil works.
