Job Description
BRAC is seeking a strategic leader to fill the role of Manager, Digital Financial Services (DFS) in Nairobi. You will be the primary driver behind the implementation of digital strategies that expand outreach and improve the livelihoods of women and youth. This role requires a visionary who can balance technological innovation with the personal touch required in microfinance, ensuring all digital initiatives align with BRAC’s mission.
Role Overview
The DFS Manager designs, tests, and scales digital financial solutions. You will be responsible for conducting market assessments, managing FinTech relationships, and leading change management efforts to ensure staff and clients successfully adopt new digital tools and mobile payment platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the formulation and execution of DFS strategies to increase organizational efficiency.
- Design and implement pilot plans for mobile payments and agent banking.
- Conduct customer-centric research to inform the development of market-led financial tools.
- Manage high-level relationships with FinTechs, MNOs, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee digital training programs for both staff and clients to drive active usage.
- Ensure all DFS operations adhere to strict safeguarding standards to prevent harm or exploitation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or IT.
- At least 5 years of experience in financial inclusion or digital payment platforms.
- Proven track record in project management and business process assessment.
- Strong understanding of the microfinance ecosystem in East Africa.
