Job Description

The Life Area Marketing Manager for the Jeevan Bharati branch is responsible for driving the growth of individual life insurance products in a key Nairobi territory. This role is strategically vital for maximizing the branch’s revenue and ensuring a robust bottom line through innovative marketing initiatives and superior relationship management. Reporting to the senior management, the job holder will focus on expanding the client base and providing exceptional service to both existing policyholders and new claimants within the competitive Nairobi insurance market.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the top-line and bottom-line growth of the individual life insurance business at the Jeevan Bharati branch.
• Formulate and implement area-specific marketing plans to achieve branch-level sales targets.
• Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals and intermediaries to ensure high productivity and compliance.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with alternative distribution channels and corporate partners.
• Resolve customer complaints and facilitate efficient claim processes to ensure customer retention.
• Conduct regular market assessments to stay ahead of industry developments and regulatory changes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
• Professional certification in Marketing (CIM) or Insurance (AIIK).
• Mandatory Certificate of Proficiency (COP).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in life insurance sales and marketing.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing branch-level operations.
• Deep understanding of the life insurance regulatory environment in Kenya.
