Job Description

The Senior Linux Technical Lead is responsible for the strategic oversight, design, and maintenance of the bank’s Linux-based infrastructure. This role provides technical leadership and mentorship to a team of administrators, ensuring that all Linux services meet high availability, security, and performance standards. The Lead Engineer drives the automation agenda and CI/CD pipeline management, while researching and deploying innovative platform solutions to maintain a competitive advantage. The position requires a deep technical expert capable of navigating complex troubleshooting and regulatory compliance within a large-scale financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a team of Linux administrators and engineers to foster a collaborative technical environment
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and proactive maintenance of all Linux-based servers
• Implement and maintain industry-best security practices, conducting regular vulnerability assessments
• Develop and maintain automation playbooks using tools like Ansible and Satellite to streamline operations
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient system updates and deployments
• Provide advanced Level 3 troubleshooting and support for complex Linux-related technical issues
• Maintain comprehensive architectural designs and documentation for system configurations
• Research and test emerging platform products to address operational challenges and drive long-term growth
• Ensure full compliance with relevant financial regulations and institutional standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Extensive experience in Linux system administration and enterprise-level engineering
• Advanced proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools including Ansible or Puppet
• Professional certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or LPIC
• Proven experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
