Job Description
Eagle HR Consultants is recruiting a Human Resource & Administration Officer for its client in Nairobi. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who can manage the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and compliance. You will be a key support to the HR Manager, ensuring that personnel records are accurate and that the workplace remains compliant with all labor laws.
Role Overview
The Officer coordinates all internal HR processes, including recruitment logistics, contract preparation, and employee welfare programs. You will provide administrative support during disciplinary hearings, manage statutory returns, and help maintain harmonious industrial relations by addressing staff queries and grievances professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate shortlisting and interviews; manage onboarding and probation tracking for new hires.
- Ensure all statutory returns (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE) are completed; maintain compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
- Handle staff grievances and query resolution; support employee engagement activities.
- Track departmental KPIs and staff appraisals; recommend coaching interventions.
- Update HR databases and personnel files; support the digitization of HR processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- Valid membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience, with previous experience managing a team.
- Strong MS Office proficiency and the ability to prepare analytical reports.
