Job Description
Eagle HR Consultants is seeking a Golf Administration Manager in Nairobi. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of tournaments and the management of handicaps under the World Handicap System (WHS). You will lead the golf office team, proactively engage with sponsors, and ensure that the golfer experience is consistently improved through innovation and high service standards.
Role Overview
The Manager is responsible for tournament planning, registration management, and the publication of results. You will provide strategic support for the course operations, maintain strong relationships with corporate sponsors, and implement financial and administrative controls to ensure accurate billing for all golf-related services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare competition sheets and start lists; process results and publish winners in line with WHS.
- Ensure timely score entry and WHS compliance; maintain communication with other clubs to prevent handicap manipulation.
- Proactively engage sponsors to plan and record events in the Golf Diary; prepare deliverables and acknowledgement reports.
- Manage staffing schedules and discipline for Starters, Caddy Masters, and admin support staff.
- Prepare the annual budget; ensure all green fees and services are accurately billed and reconcile monthly inventory.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Sports Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years in golf operations, golf administration, or hospitality.
- Deep understanding of the Rules of Golf, competition formats, and the World Handicap System (WHS).
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with golf-specific software is an advantage.
