Job Description

The Head Cook will lead kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, menu development, and compliance with safety standards. The role focuses on team leadership, cost control, and maintaining consistency in food preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise food production and kitchen operations
  • Develop menus and recipes
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and safety standards
  • Manage kitchen staff and provide training
  • Control food costs and inventory
  • Conduct quality checks before service
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • KCSE minimum grade C
  • Training in culinary arts or food production
  • Diploma or degree is an advantage
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in hotel or commercial kitchen
  • Strong leadership and culinary skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
