Job Description
The Head Cook will lead kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, menu development, and compliance with safety standards. The role focuses on team leadership, cost control, and maintaining consistency in food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise food production and kitchen operations
- Develop menus and recipes
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Manage kitchen staff and provide training
- Control food costs and inventory
- Conduct quality checks before service
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
- KCSE minimum grade C
- Training in culinary arts or food production
- Diploma or degree is an advantage
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in hotel or commercial kitchen
- Strong leadership and culinary skills
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
