Financial Accountant Job – Eagle HR Consultants Kenya

Eagle HR Consultants is looking for a Financial Accountant for its client in Nairobi. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of financial policies and the preparation of high-level financial reports. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills who can manage the Club’s financial planning, including budgeting and cash flow management, to meet organizational objectives.

Role Overview

The Financial Accountant oversees month-end close procedures, performs balance sheet reconciliations, and manages relationships with financial institutions. You will also be involved in appraising investment opportunities and ensuring the high performance of departmental staff through training and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in determining financial requirements and preparing budgets, working capital, and cost management plans.
• Responsible for both internal and external financial reporting; file monthly and yearly returns and manage auditor relations.
• Ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations are submitted for review and oversee close procedures.
• Identify and benchmark best practices in financial management to improve organizational efficiency.
• Train, motivate, and evaluate staff in the finance department.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Degree in B.Com (Accounting) or B. Admin (Accounting).
• CPA (K) qualified.
• 3-4 years in financial accounting, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAGE systems and excellent MS Excel skills.
