Job Description

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for students and staff at the International School of Kenya. This role prioritizes student safeguarding and strictly adheres to Kenya Traffic, NTSA, and PSV regulations. Focused exclusively on transport operations, the position ensures that all journeys are punctual and conducted with the highest regard for safety and road etiquette.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport students and staff safely and reliably to designated locations following set schedules
• Adhere strictly to all Kenya Traffic Act, NTSA, and PSV regulations at all times
• Conduct routine vehicle safety checks to identify and report potential faults immediately
• Maintain the highest standards of student safeguarding and professional conduct during transit
• Navigate major roads and alternative routes in Kenya efficiently to ensure punctuality
• Manage student groups during boarding and transit to ensure a safe and orderly environment
• Committ to ongoing safety training and adherence to institutional security protocols

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Kenyan Driver’s License with classes A, B, C, and E
• Valid PSV certification and a minimum of a KCSE certificate or equivalent
• At least 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably within an educational or institutional setting
• Clean driving record with a proven history of road safety awareness
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Kiswahili
• Training in First Aid, emergency response, and defensive driving is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional ethics and student safety
