Community Mobilizer – Health, Sanitation & Hygiene – World Vision

World Vision Kenya is looking for a passionate Community Mobilizer (Health, Sanitation & Hygiene) to support its WASH and health programs through behavior change and community engagement initiatives.

World Vision works with communities to promote clean water, health, and sustainable development across Kenya. Its WASH programs empower local households to improve sanitation, hygiene, and nutrition through participatory learning.

Role Overview

The Community Mobilizer will support hygiene promotion, sanitation programs, and maternal and child health interventions through training, advocacy, and community mobilization activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobilize communities for WASH and health projects in collaboration with local leaders.
• Implement Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and Nurturing Care Groups (NCG) methodologies.
• Conduct community training on handwashing, household hygiene, and nutrition.
• Support referral systems with Community Health Promoters (CHPs).
• Participate in monitoring, data collection, and evaluation activities.
• Prepare reports and contribute to donor documentation.
• Advocate for community participation and local ownership of sanitation initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Public Health, Environmental Health, or Community Development.
• 2+ years’ experience implementing sanitation and hygiene programs.
• Experience with CLTS and sanitation marketing approaches.
• Strong facilitation, mobilization, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., mWater).
• Residency in Oldonyiro, Ngaremara, or Burat Wards preferred.
