Architecture Practice Lead

Overview

This leadership role focuses on the operational enablement and maturity of the Enterprise Architecture practice. The Lead ensures that architects are supported and integrated into organizational workflows, while technical authority remains with the Principal Architect.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Solution and Enterprise Architects.
  • Plan and manage architecture practice capacity to balance demand across the portfolio.
  • Enable the consistent identification and documentation of architectural risks and technical debt.
  • Embed architecture engagement into the service lifecycle and governance processes.
  • Refine architecture ways of working based on feedback and performance outcomes.
  • Provide visibility of architecture practice health to senior organizational stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading professional teams within a capability or practice model.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architectureengagement models and technical debt management.
  • Experience in coordinating work across multiple federated teams and functions.
