Account Assistant
Role Overview
The Account Assistant supports financial reporting, reconciliations, underwriter account management, and cash flow monitoring. The role ensures accurate financial records and timely reporting at both operational and group levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of premium payable and receivable accounts
- Reconcile insurance balances between the company and assigned underwriters
- Reconcile investments and prepare monthly investment reports
- Perform General Ledger reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations
- Oversee daily premium collections and system updates
- Prepare management accounts, board reports, and consolidated financial statements
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and cash position reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related course
- CPA, ACCA, or CFA Part I
- Knowledge of IRA regulations
- Understanding of applicable tax laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
