Jhpiego, an international NGO affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a creative and technically skilled Videographer to produce compelling visual stories that showcase its health impact projects across Kenya.

Role Overview

The Videographer will plan, film, and edit high-quality documentary and social media videos across Jhpiego’s PharmPrEP project sites. This role combines creative storytelling with strong technical production skills to deliver engaging and informative content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and submit storyboards and production schedules before filming.
  • Capture broadcast-quality video and photographic content at selected project sites.
  • Conduct and record 14 interviews (researchers, providers, and stakeholders).
  • Edit and deliver:
  • Main documentary (7–10 minutes)
  • 3 thematic short clips (2–3 minutes each)
  • 20 high-resolution edited photographs (min 300 dpi)
  • Ensure subtitles, licensing compliance, and digital-ready file formats.
  • Deliver all raw footage and project files for Jhpiego archives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media, or Communication.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in producing NGO or documentary video content.
  • Strong camera operation, lighting, and audio design expertise.
  • Proven experience in storytelling, editing, and post-production.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
  • Ability to manage field production logistics and meet deadlines.
