Travel and Ticketing Officer (Business Analyst 2)
Role Overview
This role suits a travel professional who excels in coordination, accuracy, and service delivery. The Travel and Ticketing Officer ensures that all official travel arrangements—local and international—are handled seamlessly, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with organizational travel policies, while providing dependable advisory support to staff.
Key Responsibilities
Travel Planning & Booking
- Process and confirm air travel, accommodation, and ground transport bookings
- Issue tickets and travel documents strictly in line with approved itineraries
- Provide accurate travel advice on connections, visas, changes, cancellations, and rerouting
Cost Control & Compliance
- Secure best-value fares, accommodation rates, and corporate discounts
- Ensure strict adherence to organizational travel policies and budget limits
- Reconcile travel expenses and support audit requirements
Vendor & Information Management
- Act as the main liaison with travel agents, airlines, and hotel partners
- Monitor vendor performance and contractual compliance
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline rules, tariffs, and industry changes
Records & Support
- Maintain complete records of travel requests, tickets, and expenses
- Address and resolve travel-related complaints professionally and promptly
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
- IATA Certification or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Travel Consultant or Ticketing Officer
- Proficiency in GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and MS Office
