Technical Sales Agronomist
Job Description
Chemicaland Limited is seeking four Technical Sales Agronomists to act as the technical engine of the sales department. This field-based role bridges the gap between agricultural science and commercial sales by conducting on-farm demonstrations and training for agro-dealers and farmers. The successful candidates will drive the adoption of the company’s agro-input products through technical expertise, territory management, and market intelligence gathering, ensuring repeat usage and brand loyalty within the farming community.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical on-farm product demonstrations to showcase the efficacy of agro-input solutions
- Provide specialized training to agro-dealers and farmers on the correct application and benefits of products
- Support the van sales team in closing technical sales deals within assigned territories
- Gather and report market feedback and competitor intelligence to inform sales strategies
- Drive product adoption rates and ensure high levels of repeat orders through technical support
- Manage daily field schedules and travel extensively to reach remote farming communities
- Maintain and operate a company motorbike for efficient territory coverage
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field
- Strong field experience, specifically within the agro-inputs sector
- Valid rider’s license with proven experience in riding and maintaining motorbikes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both farmers and commercial dealers
- Results-focused mindset with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Commercially sharp with a strong drive for sales and territory growth
