SVN-National Project Officer

Job Overview

The National Project Officer supports the implementation and coordination of Climate Mobility Innovation Lab Africa projects, ensuring timely delivery, partner engagement, and compliance with IOM and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation and monitoring of CMIL Africa projects.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of the Regional CMIL Climate Mobility Symposium.
• Support grant administration and monitoring under the Climate Catalytic Fund.
• Liaise with IOM Country Offices and external partners across Africa.
• Draft technical reports, donor updates, briefs, and project documentation.
• Support MEL activities, knowledge products, and communications outputs.
• Coordinate workshops, consultations, and capacity-building events.
• Assist with budget tracking, risk analysis, and contextual assessments.
• Support identification of innovative, scalable climate mobility solutions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Law, or related fields with 2 years’ experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ relevant professional experience.
• Experience working with governments, UN agencies, NGOs, and development partners.
• Demonstrated experience in project implementation, coordination, and reporting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently across multicultural environments.
