Stores Officer (Business Analyst 2)
Role Overview
The Stores Officer is responsible for maintaining strict control, security, and efficiency of CBK inventory stores. This role emphasizes operational discipline, accuracy, and compliance with inventory management standards.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Security
- Supervise daily activities of stores assistants and clerks
- Enforce store security, access control, and housekeeping standards
- Ensure optimal storage conditions to prevent damage or obsolescence
Inventory Control & Flow
- Oversee receipt, inspection, and acceptance of goods against LPOs
- Supervise authorized issuance of stock and accurate record updates
- Enforce FIFO and other stock rotation practices
- Identify and quarantine damaged or expired items
Documentation & Reporting
- Ensure accurate recording of stock movements in bin cards and ERP systems
- Maintain auditable stores documentation
- Participate in stock takes and variance investigations
- Prepare operational and stock movement reports
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Supply Chain, Stores Management, Logistics, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage
- Associate Member of KISM or eligible for membership
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy stores environment
- ERP or inventory system proficiency required
