Role Overview
The SRE Engineer will design, deploy, and optimize ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) environments to enhance system observability and operational efficiency. The role involves collaboration across engineering, security, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage large-scale ELK clusters for high availability and performance.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring of ELK infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot data ingestion, search performance, and visualization issues.
- Apply SRE principles to define SLOs, SLIs, and reliability benchmarks.
- Mentor junior engineers and document operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data and system reliability projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience managing ELK or similar observability stacks.
- Proficiency in Linux, automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with Azure and distributed systems performance tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
