Role Overview

The Software Developer will create and maintain interactive R Shiny applications that visualize complex datasets for decision-making in small-scale fisheries and conservation projects. The role involves developing user-friendly dashboards and tools for global field teams, partners, and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable R Shiny applications.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering and Design teams to translate data into actionable insights.
• Optimize dashboards for user experience and accessibility.
• Conduct data analysis and visualization for marine conservation programs.
• Support system documentation, testing, and quality assurance.
• Provide technical input to global data initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Proven experience with R, R Shiny, and data visualization libraries.
• Proficiency in Git, SQL, and dashboard development best practices.
• Experience with environmental or community-based data systems is an advantage.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
