Individual Consultants (SBC Capacity Building) — UNICEF (Nairobi)
This long-term agreement offers a unique platform to shape social and behavior change strategies across the region. You will provide the high-level expertise needed to strengthen institutional frameworks and empower diverse teams through specialized training initiatives.
Role Overview
Consultants under this LTA will support UNICEF by conducting institutional assessments and developing capacity-building initiatives. You will translate complex behavioral data into practical, scalable training tools for global application.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct institutional capacity assessments to identify structural bottlenecks in SBC delivery
- Map individual and team skill gaps using specialized UNICEF diagnostic tools
- Design and facilitate interactive workshops, webinars, and mentorship programs
- Develop multimedia training materials and professional development curricula for frontline workers
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of capacity-building interventions for iterative improvement
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Anthropology
- Proven expertise in Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) institutional development
- Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting qualitative and quantitative data
- Capability to produce high-quality strategies, reports, and case studies under tight deadlines
- Fluency in English (knowledge of other UN languages is a distinct advantage)
