Service Waiter Job in Kenya – Restaurant Hiring via Eagle HR

Eagle HR Consultants is hiring a Service Waiter for its client in Nairobi. You will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent menu knowledge, and the ability to manage bills and receipts with absolute accuracy.

Role Overview

The Service Waiter handles the entire sequence of service, from welcoming guests within seconds of arrival to performing closing duties. You will take orders, offer suggestions to enhance guest satisfaction, ensure proper table settings, and coordinate with the kitchen to deliver products professionally and without delay.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and serve them in a professional manner to encourage repeat visits.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and load items into the computer system.
• Ensure tables are set up according to policy and the environment remains clean and appealing.
• Adhere to safety rules and personal hygiene standards; clear soiled dishes promptly.
• Handle member bills and receipts accurately and report any discrepancies immediately.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Diploma or Certificate in Food & Beverage Service or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 2 years in a high-end restaurant or members’ club.
• Knowledge of POS systems and basic billing procedures.
• Must be 19 years or older; possess a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
