Senior Regional Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL)
Role Overview
This role suits someone who enjoys turning evidence into action. You will guide how learning, research, and evaluation are done across regions—and make sure the insights actually influence decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee MERL systems aligned with donor and country frameworks
- Maintain quality standards across multi-country partners
- Lead and mentor a regional MERL team
- Develop MERL budgets, learning agendas, and evaluation plans
- Integrate monitoring and learning into daily program operations
- Oversee research studies, assessments, and thematic reviews
- Build MERL capacity among refugee-led and partner organisations
- Strengthen collaboration with evaluators, researchers, and institutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Public Policy, International Relations, or related fields
- Over 10 years’ experience managing complex MERL systems
- Strong grounding in qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to translate complex data into practical learning outputs
- Experience working with diverse partners in the African context
