Senior Program Manager Enterprise Applications Job – International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior Program Manager in Nairobi. This role leads critical IT initiatives focused on document management, classification, and migration across the organization. You will be at the center of driving technical adoption and change management for enterprise-level systems.

Role Overview

The Senior Program Manager implements Agile project management procedures to manage IT workstreams effectively. You will collaborate with business leadership to ensure that document sharing and storage capabilities are standardized, secure, and compliant with global requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain integrated project plans and work breakdown structures.
• Support product backlog management, sprint planning, and task execution using Agile.
• Lead initiatives to transition document management systems and drive staff adoption of new tools.
• Supervise project cost estimations and ongoing budget tracking for IT vendors.
• Prepare status reports regarding project scope, risks, and achievements for stakeholders.
• Update documentation for identified risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; PMP or CSM certification is preferred.
• 3-6 years of project management experience in IT or software.
• Experience managing document migration projects (e.g., Box, OneDrive).
• Experience at an international NGO or global humanitarian organization is highly desirable.
