Senior Backend Developer (.Net)

Job Description

The Senior Backend Developer (.Net) is responsible for the architecture and development of scalable server-side applications and high-performance RESTful APIs. This role is central to the bank’s digital transformation, ensuring seamless integration between internal core banking systems and external financial services. The successful candidate will lead the backend engineering efforts, focusing on security, performance optimization, and the implementation of complex business logic to power the institution’s mobile and web-based digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable RESTful APIs and server-side logic using the .Net framework
  • Lead the integration of backend systems with third-party APIs and internal legacy platforms
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, security, and scalability in a high-transaction environment
  • Implement complex business logic and data protection protocols to ensure transaction integrity
  • Collaborate with frontend developers and UI/UX designers to integrate user-facing elements
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior developers on backend best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system bugs and performance bottlenecks
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development specializing in .Net and C#
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management and optimization
  • Proven experience in building and deploying microservices and cloud-native architectures
  • Strong understanding of API security standards (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and best practices
  • Proficiency in using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
