Job Description

The Senior Associate is responsible for the end-to-end execution of the Climate-Focused Fellowship Program in East Africa. This role involves managing recruitment pipelines, overseeing program operations, and co-delivering high-impact learning experiences for social leaders. Reporting to the East Africa Program Lead, the successful candidate ensures that the fellowship journey—from initial outreach to graduation—is seamless, data-driven, and aligned with the academy’s mission to foster leadership within the climate ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the training and facilitation of the Climate Fellowship Program through online and in-person seminars
• Lead outreach and recruitment strategies to build strong pipelines of climate-focused leaders
• Manage the end-to-end selection process for prospective Fellows in collaboration with regional partners
• Coordinate program logistics, timelines, and documentation to ensure high-quality operational delivery
• Maintain accurate data on fellowship participation and engagement for impact reporting
• Assist in the preparation of grant and impact documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Provide feedback to curriculum teams to continuously improve the fellowship learning experience

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, ideally within leadership development or social impact
• Proven ability to manage complex programs with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience building relationships with internal and external partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management for tracking program metrics
• Experience in designing and facilitating both virtual and in-person professional events
• Familiarity with the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in East Africa
