Job Description
Momentum Credit is seeking a motivated Salesperson to work on-site in a full-time capacity in Kisii, Kenya. This critical sales job in the Kenyan financial services sector requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance, and proven experience in a sales or client-facing role. The Salesperson will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets by promoting and selling Momentum Kenya’s financial products, building and maintaining client relationships, and generating leads through networking events.

Role Overview
The Salesperson will be highly focused on product demonstration, relationship building, and target achievement in the Kisii local market. Responsibilities include actively promoting financial products, acquiring and managing a dedicated client portfolio, ensuring customer satisfaction through internal liaison, and proactively maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all product offerings and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Target Achievement: Meet and consistently exceed all individual sales targets by aggressively promoting and selling Momentum Kenya’s financial products to customers.
- Client Portfolio: Proactively acquire and effectively manage a high-quality portfolio of clients, ensuring repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships through excellent customer service and communication.
- Lead Generation: Attend networking events, market forums, and community engagements to proactively generate qualified sales leads.
- Product Expertise: Maintain up-to-date, accurate knowledge of all Momentum Kenya’s financial products and services, providing clear and effective product demonstrations.
- Sales Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, tracking progress against targets and pipeline health.
- Internal Liaison: Liaise effectively with the internal team (e.g., credit, operations) to ensure smooth service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a sales or client-facing role is preferred. Familiarity with the Kisii local market and prior experience in financial services will be a distinct advantage.
- Education: A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong sales, product demonstration, and relationship-building skills; excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
- Competencies: Strong knowledge of Financial Products and Marketing; ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and achieve demanding targets.
- Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant digital tools.
