Sales and Marketing Officer – Hotel (Amboseli & Maasai Mara)

Role Overview

Hotels don’t buy “marketing.” They buy staffed departments, faster placements, and fewer hiring headaches. This role sells hospitality recruitment and staffing services, builds a steady client pipeline, and runs practical marketing that keeps the brand visible where decision-makers pay attention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and win new hospitality clients through field visits, calls, referrals, and networking
  • Pitch recruitment, staffing, and placement services to hotels, lodges, resorts, restaurants, and catering businesses
  • Build and manage a consistent pipeline of leads, proposals, and active negotiations
  • Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Prepare tailored proposals, quotations, and service agreements aligned to client needs
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, follow-ups, negotiations, and deal closure
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals
  • Coordinate closely with recruitment teams on staffing timelines, role profiles, and delivery expectations
  • Plan and execute marketing activities that promote hospitality jobs and recruitment services
  • Improve brand visibility and positioning within the hospitality sector
  • Educate clients and candidates on recruitment processes, timelines, and service offerings
  • Respond to enquiries with accurate information and timely follow-through
  • Collect client and candidate feedback and channel it into service improvement
  • Maintain clean records of leads, client contacts, and marketing activities
  • Produce regular sales and marketing performance reports for management
  • Follow company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements in all engagements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or recruitment is an advantage
  • Evidence of achieving sales targets and sustaining a pipeline
  • Digital marketing and customer engagement experience is desirable
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and client management skills
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and results-driven
